Default p1349 & p1656

hi,am new to the forum. My brother bought a 2001 gs300 about 2-3 years ago, with the check engine light on for these to codes p1349 & p1656.the car drives find, like nothing is wrong, but now its time to get the emission done,so we are trying to fix the problem. The OCV was already replace last year and the filter was cleaned, but the light still came back on.It doesn't stumble or stall.Do anyone have any idea what we could try checking next??Am not sure if someone was in the timing belt area before,so am not sure if the vvti cam gear is in the right position..i was also wondering maybe one of the other sensors (cam, crank, etc)is going bad, which affect the vvti position,, any suggestion would be greatly appreciated ,thanks
