Default New 2GS addition to the family

My sister just purchased a one-owner 1998 GS300 with 280,000 miles for $3k. On the right is my 1999 GS400 with 224,000 miles (not for sale lol). Except for a few nicks on the bumper it's in excellent condition. An older couple sold it to us, they bought a new Lexus RX.

You folks aren't afraid of miles! On a side note, that older couple got a screaming deal...the dealership would probably give $1k tops on trade.

Haha, we turned down a guy with 367,000 on his 2GS 300 because we thought that was a bit high! So 280,000 is probably our limit. On a side note, it's a second car for my brother in law to get to work so maybe they will put on 10,000 miles a year. At that rate it should last for a while!

Yeah we were looking for a 1- or 2-owner 2GS with all the service records. It's in great condition. Timing belt was last changed at 214,000 miles. In the last year the radiator, fuel pump and control arms were replaced. Runs like new. Except for inspections and a few oil changes all service for the last 20 years has been done at the Lexus dealer!

My GS400 has 274150 on it now. Runs great. Just replaced the factory fuel pump.

Sounds like a great deal! Enjoy!
