Hello,

First post here (will introduce properly once I have sufficient eye-candy of the GS300 I bought a month ago).
Not much to do on the car but the foam of the parcelshelf woofer (ML system, woofer 86160-0W210) was shot so I replaced it.
When I investigated options it became clear that not much actual info is available on these speakers, so I decided to measure it once repaired with my Dayton Audio DATS v2 system.
Here's the results:


Some thought went into this speaker as the Qts value (near 1) indicates it is suitable for large enclosures (such as your boot space).
If you'd want to replace it with an equivalent this value + SPL (approx 87) + Vas + of course impedance (8 ohm) and resonance frequency (approx 40 Hz) would be needed to determine suitability.

I've never had mine open. Is it one 8 ohm voice coil or two 4 ohms in series? Is there an external crossover or do the low frequencies get sent directly from the amp?

Hi Natman,

It is 1 voicecoil of 8 ohms.
As far as I can tell there is no external crossover.
