Default Let's play "What's this connector?"

Found by the A/C compressor. Comes from the same place in the wiring harness as the throttle control motor wires, runs down across the driver's side timing cover and is attached through a cable guide on top of the compressor. It was dangling by the oil filter, which my finger is also touching in the pic. Single wire.

Where does it plug in? I can see the clutch start spinning when the button is pressed... Maybe that's only half the function?

it looks like a one wire sensor connector. more than likely attaches behind the ac compressor to the oil pressure sender. follow the oil filter up until you see a round plastic sensor sticking out towards the fire wall. maybe someone left it unplugged accidentally or purposefully.

Frank, a/c clutch signal wire.

I'm agree with you Frank 100%. When I change my A/C compressor a few months ago. I see that plug and is for one of the connector that go on the compressor. What year is you car op? Maybe the previous owner change the a/c compressor for one that is different as the factory and that is the reason why that plug it's hanging like that. If your a/c working fine, don't sweat about it. IMHO
