day running light led issue

Default day running light led issue

hey guys how's it going, I switched my day running lights to led but now won't turn on during the day, high beams are also led, I'm not sure how to fix this issue any suggestions? Thanks in advance

LEDs draw less current. Sounds like switch is not triggering to turn on the LEDs.

Do u suggest resistors maybe?

Yes, but they're actually capacitors since they're providing more power. Search on eBay and there will be a bunch of results for them

Do you have factory HID? I forget what turns on as DRLs. Is it the high beams on low power? If so, it is closer to 6v. That is not enough for many led bulbs. You can find some that will light up.

Oh ok capisitors I'll search them lostape45, AmanO I have factory hids, drls had their own bulb which is a 192 I think but when I went led on those high beams turned to drls , then I went led high beams and now no drls during the day just night

iirc US cars run the DRL as high beam at 6v.

You're not talking about DRL's, but the little bulb in the corner of the high beam... DRL's are the high beam bulb running with 6v to make them dimmer.

Flip the 192 bulb around, I bet they'll work. Theres no science that has to be done to make them work, EVERYONE has done this with no problem...

Not to mention, you have an 00 GS, they didnt have DRL's...

Then that has to be shunt resistor in parallel with the LED. Also LED connection is polarity specific.
