Default Can a bad battery or terminal issues cause door lock issues

I have a 2003 GS300 that is now starting to not lock the driver side rear door when you use remote or the door lock button. You hear the click and then another click right after that. Locks all other doors but alarm not set. Then next time you try, it may work. Is it the actuator or the batttery?

Actuator. Very common issue. I'm down to 1 consistently functioning power door lock on my '02.

Default actuators

Anyone know the best way to replace it. Someone told me to live with it. Because it'll cost a lot to replace the actuators.

Parts are like 20 each on ebay. if you want to save more, just buy the electric motors and the gear puller.
There's quite a few DIYs on here and even youtube videos showing you how to do it.
I replace them all the time so I get plenty of practice, can replace all 4 within 1.5 hours.

Read thru all the diy on these and just take your time.
Take pictures of things you take off so you remember how to put them back on.

Yes...for Chinese junk. I wouldn't waste my time putting those on my car. Replacing the electric motor is the most cost effective fix.

Where do you think those motors come from?

When mine started failing, it would depend on the temperature until it would finally do it at all temperatures.

My bet is that it comes back. If your old battery was able to start your car, it wasn't the battery causing your lock issue.

Mabuchhi does have factories in other countries although its largest factory is still in Japan as well as 5 other factories that are still in Japan. None are in China or Malaysia.

No matter what, I would still not buy those cheap $20 door actuators. My bet is that it does not even come with a Mabuchi motor in it. Penny wise...pound foolish.

Gentlemen, i just changed the actuators in my 2000 Gs300. The front door locks work fine but the back doors will not lock or unlock when I press the unlock on key fob. So I say to myself I can live with this by manually locking the rear locks. The front doors will lock when I set the alarm. But when I disarm the alarm the horn goes off and the key fob will not allow me to disarm it until I put the key in the ignition and turn it. The only way I can keep the horn from sounding when I open the door after setting the alarm is to open the trunk first then close it, then open the front door . Has anyone had this happen to them?
