2003 gs300 random loud dash noise
Just purchased a 2003 gs300 sport design with 148K and am now in the process of going over the common fixes.
I noticed a loud pump/clicking noise coming from the dash near the gauge cluster area.. this occurs randomly at idle and while driving regardless of turning the wheel or just sitting.
the only thing I can think of would be possibly the telescopic steering motor?
Have anyone come across this pump/clicking noise? I'll try and get a video up where it can be heard.

sbwest, that clicking sound should be more noticeable when you play around with both driver and passenger side temp settings, air recirculate mode, air vent direction settings. All you need to do is to take all 4 servos apart, clean the contacts inside and use some high quality dielectric grease inside those. The contacts inside are not greased that good and overtime will not make a good connection. I did all 4 of mine last year and never have a problem since.
