A/C Troubleshooting help
Hey guys,
trying to troubeshoot my A/C system, hoping someone with similar experiences can guide me the right way.
2001 Lexus GS, only 72k miles on it.
I recently replaced the condenser and the expansion valve, as well as both passenger side servos, but im still getting a 41/43 error, i assumed the 31/33 errors meant driver side, and the 41/43 meant passenger side. Anyways, my system will blow at normal speeds, however sometimes it is not cold. it will blow cold then all of the sudden go to room temp (which is around 100 right now in texas...) and then it will come back. However, it doesnt ever seem as cold as it should be, or how it was in the winter time (i purchased the car in January) - what should i look for? the compressor checks out, my mechanic put in the correct amount of freon (22-24lbs per manual) and im really hoping its not the evaporator, because i dont want to yank out the dash. if anyone has any insight i would sincerely appreciate it.

sorry i cant be more specific. but now today, the passenger side is blowing completely hot, so i think either i have a defective servo which i just replaced, or its stuck. Where is this relay youre speaking of? no lights are blinking on the control unit.
thanks for your help

probably low on 134a, your car takes 1.43lbs. you need to take it to someone with a recovery machine to see the exact amount you have in it, inject dye oil, recharge it, drive it until it starts getting warm on the one side again, then look for a dye trail on your ac components.

so i figured it out. harnesses werent connected very well in the back of the climate control. apparently when i installed my grom audio awhile back, i didnt click them in all the way. caused the climate to work somewhat, but not function normally. went from 3 error codes to zero. thanks for those who tried to help!
