...in fiberglass rather than carbon fiber?

Is there someone who currently makes and sells a decent quality version of this hood in FRP, or a similar vented style? There are some nice ones available in Japan but obviously shipping a hood is a huge ordeal. 'Glassing a vent into a steel hood is not something I would be real keen on. I would appreciate the weight savings of an FRP hood over steel but the extra little bit that carbon fiber would give isn't worth the much higher cost, and appearance doesn't matter because I intend to have it painted regardless of what it's made of.

I would take your hood for my Vis racing hood with cash on top if you were local, not the exact same but similar

Cool, I could actually be interested in getting that off you. Ohio is a 2 day drive for me though. If you priced out shipping, maybe, but shipping a used hood is a pretty big procedures.
