Default GS300 clima problems

hi guy's

The following problem occures, my climatronic a/c, rear window defogger doesn't work.

i checked the fuses under the dashboard on both sides, and no faults here.

on screen the buttens are all light grey. so they can't be activated. all the buttons for the hvac system don't work. so no temp control. the display won't show the outside temp. inside temp. or whatever...

navigation and radio with all the audio things work. also the menu with range and fuel consumption.

so are there any hidden relays or fuses?

I hope you guys can help me.

Bonus! Picture of the car.

I think is your climate control switch, that is damage.

To bump this thread! I bought this car of of Harm Jan, but still have this problem.

Is there someone on here who has had this problem aswell, or knows how to solve this? With the winter coming up, it would be so nice to have this thing working again

The navigation talks to the climate control computer through the car's multiplex communication network. If the navigation can't find it, you'll get the inactive buttons and grayed out screen. The network appears to be ok, as the navigation unit still gets fuel economy data. I would probably replace the climate control computer first, which is a black box mounted to the back of the navigation head unit (note: there isn't a direct electrical connection despite where it is mounted). You would need to find one out of a navigation equipped vehicle, as the non-navigation models use a different one.
