Default Tips for Replacing Motor Mounts?

i will soon be changing the motor mounts,
any advise or tricks do do this fast and easy?
i heard by some that they drop the Sub-Frame
Other have said that it is difficult and engine hits top of firewall
I've also heard that u must do one at a time using a pry bar to tilt the eng a bit to one side to slide the mount off.
any suggestions? i previously contacted a "Mechanic" off craigslist to do this for me and he panicked when the eng hit the top of the firewall and there was not enough space to pull it out ,
he left my car on jack stands and left when i left to the restroom LOL!
oh well 2 free jack stands for me

I did a write up on it. It's way easier the way I described .a small micro angled wrench is the key ,you can get them any where
