Default Opinion on price

Hi, I'm currently looking at 04 300 that's has 40k miles on it. The dealership is wanting 13k and I was wondering if ya'll think that's a bit high in price? The car is really clean and it drives well. Just not sure about that price and thought I would come here for opinions. Thanks

What does the car look like, what package does it have.

13k for a 04 gs300 is pretty high, even though the mileage is low,

It's only a base package that's completely stock.

KBB is giving the range of $7500 to $9700. Seems high to me as well.

Thanks for the replies. I felt the price was pretty high as well but just wanted some opinions. I'm going to try and talk them down as much as I can. It's a really clean gs and I'd like to get it but just not at 13k.

Default 40k

40k! awesome. hard to put a blue book value on such a low mileage car. they are very rare. he knows that. however, without Levinson, navigation, or 17" chromes and with what looks like a tan or gray interior (black on sliver is more valuable) he's really pushing his luck asking $13k.

a decked out 40k gs430 would bring 13-14k and he's trying to get that for a non-optioned gs300

with new high end tires, near flawless condition, and full records i'd go up to 10k out the door.

does it have records!?
you can check dealer records at:
https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...serviceHistory

bear in mind that even at 40k one could argue at 13 years old it needs a timing belt if it hasn't been done = $850

good luck

.

I'd pass on that car at 13K.

The price is too high. My personal opinion is that it's a fantasy. Who'd pay such a high price for a base model car that's well over a decade old? Suggest you keep in touch with dealer and see how long that thing stays on the lot.

Scrounge up $2k-$3K more and you can get a 2006 Gs430 or 2007+ GS350

Agreed. If OP is willing to consider paying that price for a GS300, may as well look at those models.

Wow thanks for all the replies. I'm going to try and talk them down today and if they won't go down then I'm going to pass on it. It seems really taken care of but it's just to high of a price for an 04.
