Hi,
My check engine light came on today, so I had the codes pulled at an auto parts store. Got these codes:

po430 Catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2
b2796 No communication with immobilizer system
c1223 Antilock brake control system malfunction
c1254 Pressure switch circuit
c1253 Monitor relay circuit

I had refilled yesterday, so I tried tightening my gas cap to hopefully clear the po430 O2 sensor/cat code. After a few miles of driving, the CE light went off--great news, maybe was gas cap. But I'm still wondering about the ABS-related codes. Would they have been logged previously, but never tripped the CE light? My ABS light never came on, btw.

Nevermind, answered my own question :-). Indeed you can have trouble codes with no CE light. I had the codes scanned again (even though no CE light is on), and the p0430 code is still there. I thought that tightening the gas cap is what cleared that up. But apparently my tightening the gas cap and the clearing of the ABS-related codes and CE light were just coincidental. Not sure why those codes went away, hoping it isn't some kind of electrical issue.
