Yes, $675 was parts and labor and reuse of original springs.
Back to my original thread. The car began to cut out on me again on a long trip. No pickup on the expressway just like before; felt like it was running out of gas. Took it back to my indy and he said I needed a new MAF. So another $350.
So far it seems to be fine but I have not had it on a long trip after the new MAF. I have put 130,000 miles on this car and have not replaced the MAF before. Whether it had the original MAF (vehicle now has 230K miles), I do not know. But I guess it makes sense that the MAF was bad. When I asked them for sure if the fuel pump was really bad (wondering if it could have been the MAF all along), they did not exactly give me a strong affirmative but they did still say the old fuel pump was bad. So I will never know.
Will let you know how it does now. However my mileage increased to 24mpg on the expressway at 75mph after the new fuel pump and before the new MAF. That's within 1-2 mpg of what I got when I purchased the car.
