2-3 shift flare at all engine temperatures
Hi.
I have a 98 GS300 with 121,000 miles on it. Recently replaced all O2 sensors, plugs, new valve cover gaskets. Other than those items just regular oil and filter changes every 4,000 miles and and transmission fluid drain every other oil change and fresh Toyota T-IV fluid.
In the last 10,000 miles or so I have noticed a flare on the 2-3 shift. All other shifts are barely noticeable and transmission runs flawless regardless. I searched and have not found anything regarding shift flare except when cold. I am wondering about a few things.
1.) Drop pan and filter change and refill or a flush
2.) Transgo shift kit for the A650e
3.) Possibility of a solenoid that controls 2-3 shift on the fritz.
There are no trouble codes and transmission has never gone into limp mode. The flare is annoying but not a drive ability issue at all. My wife doesn't even notice it but I do but I tend to be a perfectionist.
Anyone ever had experience with this issue?
Thank you.
Robert
