Default Aftermarket HU with factory power antenna

I just changed my old Pioneer for a new HU.Now i need to get the powerantenna up.
Can i just put signal power to any cable behind the HU or the Amp,or do i have to build my own "invention"?

Does your new HU harness not have a signal wire for power antenna? I think you could use the remote amp signal lead instead, if you don't have one specifically for power antenna.

Also, your 2GS has a power antenna? What?

The HU has a signal cable, but i don't know if there is a single cable in the car or if there is several cables out from the factory radion.
Yes,there us a Power antenna.I think every GS herr in Sweden has one.

in the US, the antenna is built into the rear window above the defroster... that is why lizard is probably asking... we don't have a pole antenna on our cars...

Oh! Interesting. Perhaps if you are able to identify which wires power the motor, they retain their colour coding when they pop back out behind the dashboard.

These cars are unnecessarily complicated sometimes

If the OEM HU is the same as the Taiwan specs, there should be a 3 pin plug on the back of it. I believe 2 of them will raise the antenna (separate wires for AM/FM) but can't recall. If you use a power meter, you should be able to tell which ones is the positive leads when you turn the AM/FM on. Usually white with black stripe should ground, and it would be to the far right of the plug.

Did your one change heights depending on frequency? I've just got mine permanently down since I hardly used AM/FM anyway

Connect it to ignition switched power instead and it should go up and down with your ignition switch. But you should really connect it to the blue trigger wire on your deck.

But i don't know where to connect the blue trigger. The motor on the antenna don't stop when it's up.And you have to switch + and - to get it down.

You would need to connect it to the radio side of the harness, not the antenna side. And it should be on an auto timer switch. The blue trigger comes from the new headunit.
