Default How many amps should a new alternator be?

I have the stock sounds in my gs300. I am seeing alts for 130 bux that are 100 amps. Is this sufficient?

What do y'all think of the 240 amp Mech Man alternators? Any good? Any other recommendations?

Good alternator, I recommend DC Power though And remember to choose whether you want high output at idle, or high output at high RPM. IIRC, you cant get both...

Thanks for the info Mr. Jokster, much appreciated.

The problem with DC Power alternators is that I can't find find one for my 98 GS400 on the site, and from what I see by browsing other vehicle alternators it doesn't seem to have an option for high output at idle or high output at high rpm...
