nickynickt,

I saw a few of your post already about your new baby. That black baby look nice but just giving to you a few of headache. LOL

First, that code p0430 can be something so simple like a air hose line broken ( air leak ) on your intake manifold, O2 Oxigen Sensor, Leak on your exhaust manifold clogged or your "Y" pipe clogged as well.

If I were you, because this was exactly what began happen to me. So, take my advice. Start by browsing through all the air lines in your intake manifold area and if everything looks good there,( all the air line are okay ), go to a muffer shop and let the muffer guy what you want to checked in your exhaust system. Any air leak in your cat or in your "Y" pipe. This "Y " pipe is after the header and before the muffers and is a small cat which is also clogged for the year of the car. If all that is good, try with someone measure the Oxigen O2 sensor to see if all 4 sensors are working and reading what should be. Good luck with that.

i had it twice, first was a bad O2 sensor, very cheap fix.

second time was an exhaust leak when I had first installed PPE headers and didn't attach it 100%

I would start small, shops might want you to replace your cats first, they're pretty expensive and probably not the issue

This is the "Y" pipe or mid pipe like the dealer call it.

If you small cat is clogged, I see guy that just cut that small cat and add a small pipe. Again, good luck with your issue and let know us what are you found it.

That third cat is just an additional scavenger cat. It has nothing to do with how the car runs and isn't monitored by the sensors. It can be safely cut out and replaced with a straight pipe. The 98-00 that location was just a muffler and not a cat, then late 01-05 it became an additional cat.

However as mentioned, if it does get clogged and restrictive it can cause upstream efficiency issues and the sensors will indicate an issue. You should have lack of power and ****ty gas mileage if this is the issue.

P0430 generally indicates a bad cat. But not necessarily in every situation.

That's exactly what I try to said before; First, that code p0430 can be something so simple like a air hose line broken ( air leak ) on your intake manifold, O2 Oxygen Sensor or a Leak on your exhaust manifold.
