I just recently received a stock 98 gs400 touch screen navigation unit from a friend. He does not know whether it works or not. I have a 99 gs300 non navi. My questions is, can this navi unit power up with my stock pioneer non navi connectors? I know it will not fully function, but i just need to test to see if it powers up atleast.
Any advice would help.

There are no connectors for the display portion of the unit in a non-navigation car. It will not be able to receive power.
