so the trim you have around the face of the tablet, are you able to easily remove the tablet if you need to? or this is a perm install?

The whole point of this is to be able to remove the tablet easily, all you have to do to remove the tablet is palm it with one hand and slide it up while using your thumb to tilt it forward then it slides down and out simple, it takes no time at all and to put it in you just do the reverse Slide it up into the cubby hole then push it in and let it Slide down and Dock all on its own.

Look up Soundman on youtube "Side Slider" this is a variation I call "Top Slider"

Anyone who does a Permanent Tablet instal is pretty much in for a surprise on the first day it's 80 or more degrees since these tablets dont work if they are too hot, you got a temperature message.

Looks very clean! You've got some skills. I just installed my joying 10.1 last night and it looks good, but this is on another level. Well done man.

There is no Gap its like a Step lip, if you look at the original center vents they Bow out then come back in where the meet with the AC Controllers, on my original set up with the ipad, the Clock was almost flush with the tablet but what you can't see in the video is that it angles Slightly outwards on the left side also it poked out a little bit, so I had to mount it like this to keep the new Tablet leveled and centered and in far enough as to not stick out or be angled towards the passenger side.

But this is not for everyone, just like having Air Ride or an aftermarket headunit I know a lot of Lexus guys that rather keep things stock but thats not me and to me that just boring.

I dig it! Ive been looking at these cheap China android head units on amazon and ebay. Very mixed results with them, bluetooth issues, gps issues, can't update software...

Seeing this on YouTube, and having a 10" samsung tablet that i never use, it seems a no brainer...

Nice install. How did you get the HVAC mounted in the bottom? Any wiring extensions?
