I have no faith that they will legitimately crack the ECU encryption. Most likely this'll end up being another interceptor/piggyback type deal.

Sorry to disagree. Need to read up in the isf forums.

Biggest unknown for me is older ECU encryption vs the newer ones

On the topic of ecu cracking. I was cruising around on planetsoarer.com lastnight and came across a well known guy in Australia that has opened up the ecu's of the older sc400's and any 1uz power plants and was able to add in a device that allowed you to adjust timing advance and raise the rev limit on the fly. It utilized a ribbon cable with a little potentiometer that was routed inside the cabin. alot of those guys swear by it. But that was back in the day. If their able to crack the newer isf ecu's which have been proven to be the real deal, than the second gen. gs's should be next in line. Leaner air fuel ratios with more timing advance should extract another 30 hp. just from tuning. And if the Damn shift points could be adjusted to make up for lower gear ratio rear ends to avoid the damn fuel cut at wot shifts.

Sorry yeah, should have specified tha I mean the older ECUs. AFAIK nobody has ever legit cracked the old (<~05-06) OBDII pre-CANBUS toyota/lexus ecus.

Alright guys i spoke with rafi, bad news..

This was his response..

"well... we can do it but right now we have to concentrate on the newer cars as it is costly and time consuming to tune these cars and we need to first address the cars that are newer, I hope you understand!"

Looks like they lost interest due to high demand from the other model F owners..

Maybe a group buy would help ignite the fire, lets say 100 of us will commit to it with a down payment maybe they will start a side project, i understand the need to develop products for new cars, but with these gs400/430 becoming attainable for less than 8k there are more people buying these and are ready for more than just bolt ons...yeah I'm reaching a bit haha

As much as I admire your enthusiasm.... I highly doubt we would get 100 people.

I would definitely be on the list.. but I bet the list would top 10..max.

Keep us in the loop..
