New Exhaust tips
Hi all,
I own a 98 GS300. My exhaust tips are totally worn out, to give you guys an idea, they are supposed to have a chrome color but they are literally black now. So I started looking for new tips. I don't like the OEM tips for the 98-00 because I think they're too small. I found out the 01-05 tips are larger and I like them more (part number: 1740874080). But I've only seen threads where people use them on their GS400/GS430. Will these 2001-2005 tips fit on my 98 GS300? Maybe the exhaust is different from the 400/430 models, I really don't know. So I need some help from the pro's
Thanks a lot!
Regards,

They should fit your 98' mufflers just fine.
There are aftermarket options as well that fill the stock bumper opening up while keeping the stock muffler. I ran Magnaflow Part# 35126 tips on my stock mufflers. As long as the tip is 2.25 inlet and about 7.5 inches long it should be able to be welded or clamped to the stock muffler.

If anyone is interested I used steel wool and Weiman's metal polish on mine a while back...looks good as new! I thought I was going to have to buy new tips they were so bad. Now I just touch them up every time I wash the car.
