gs430 shakes at 80 mph
My 430 shake at 80 to 85mph. At 90 mph its gone. It has a 9 seconds interval from shake to nothing and back again. I put my gear on neutral and still does the same.
I have a CEL P0420(bad oxygen sensors or bad converters.) for a long time already but this shaking appeared within this 2 weeks.
It goes like this:
A-E where A is not shake and E is the most shakes
Second 1 A
Second 2 B
Second 3 C
Second 4 D
Second 5 E
Second 6 D
Second 7 C
Second 8 B
Second 9 A
Does anyone experience this?

wheel/tire shake at a specific speed is typically a wheel balance issue. sounds to me like that is what you are describing and putting the car into neutral @ speed will not make a difference in that case. check your tires, check the tread and have them all rebalanced if they are not beyond proper tread depth.

For what it's worth, I had a similar problem until I had my rims straightened out as well.
When all else fails (assuming nothing else is at fault) start from square one, which is the rim itself; Then move on to inspecting the tire.
Often times balancing is just an attempt to adjust for a bad rim.
Just my $.02

Anyone who balances your wheels should be checking for bends. If a tire technician balances a bent wheel and doesn't tell you, that's just irresponsible. Definitely start with tire balancing though. Check hub assembly with wheel off the ground.

I think like you guys too
Engine wise, it will go away when I switch to neutral.
Rims, I changed 4 to 16 inches which has lot of meat. I didnt hit any big bumps lately...
tires may need balance. If its tires then it will rattle all the time at that speed.
Crazy Lexus problems with rattle.

I would try it on the highway in neutral but mine only shakes around 75-80ish and if I put it in neutral it won't stay in that speed range long enough to shake. I know I need engine mounts and a trans mount but I'm at school and can't fix it myself at the moment, could very well be my problem.

Do you feel the shake on you steering wheel(front tires) or in your seat(rear tires)? I had a similar shake at 80MPH and had my wheels balanced twice but was still there. I then had them road forced balanced and it went away.

This is one of the reasons I don't use aftermarket wheels..not worth the issues. Aftermarket wheels will accentuate any wear in your suspension.
To make sure it isn't a tire/wheel issue, rotate front to back and see if the vibration changes at all.

Exactly, stock 17's FTW!!!!!! ZERO problems, our stock rims were designed specifically for the GS, I had 18" 19" staggered blah blah blah, their is no ride like stock, nothing against anyone with rims of course but I'm in my mid 30's, the kid stuff isn't for me, and Pa roads are god awful, might plasti dip but that about it, op is the vibration in the sreering wheel or seat, u could have a warped rotor, switch the rims and see if the problem switches or persists, good luck

I had the same vibration at highway speeds of 65-80mph. I had a basic tire balance done and vibration still existed. Finally had a road force balance done and it went away totally on my bone stock '99 GS300 with factory rims. Drives smooth as silk on all road surfaces at all speeds. Problem finally solved!

I've owned my Gs400 for 9 years now. I've found it is very sensitive to both balance and lugnut torque. Every winter I switch to snow tires and initial torque the lugs to proper spec. If vibration show up I recheck and so far every time, the vibration goes away.
