researching potential electrical issue
tried searching for similar situation in old threads, no dice. Minor back story, picked up my 2001 GS in 2012 with 12k miles awesome right? well not a lot of keep up was done on it. Replaced the car battery within 6 months and it had a ton of acid, cleaned it up and replaced the battery no biggie.
My concern at the time was that the acid may have corroded the wire connecting to the terminal but it ran and no harm no foul. It's still on the back of my mind, living in florida i know batterys don't last long here to begin with. How does one go about replacing this terminal? Do I see a electronics specialist, any mechanic or who would be best for the job? Some issues I think related to the battery being faulty is I have a headlight that goes out once I start driving off. I star the car both headlights on, then after I move for a block one light goes out and it alternates between the driver and passenger side. I also notice when I have the interior dome lights on and i hit the window switch, the dome light weakens in power. Anywho any pointers are appreciated.

Any decent mechanic should be able to handle installing a new battery terminal. More importantly, they should be able to run a diagnostic check on your charging system.
You can remove the battery termisnals from the battery posts and clean all of them with a wire brush. They sell dedicated brushes for this purpose at auto part stores if you need one. Wear eye and mouth/nose protection when doing this. Cleaning them will ensure you are getting proper contact.
Battery cables themselves can also have corrosion inside of them which can cause issues too so you end up having to replace one or both of them. You may also have a ground to chassis issue so that needs to be checked.
