Default 40 series tires on 20s

Saw a picture not too long ago and someone was running 40 series tires and was lowered on them.

does anyone have a link or pictures. Possibly getting coils this weekend and when its time for new tires i might possibly bump up the sidewall height.

Here I was running 245/40f and 275/40r on 19x9.5 and 19x10.5 et 12. Looked ok but was rubbing the top of the fender well. I rolled and pulled the fenders but it still rubbed. Now I'm running 265/35f and 305/30r

Wow, love that first pic. If i run a 235/40/20 in the front i wonder if i will run into problems. My tire right now sits right behind my fender and my wheel sticks out about half an inch from the fender.

If you want beefy tires, just get smaller wheels... there's a limit to how large you can make the overall diameter of your wheel and tire package before the performance penalty is too large, not to mention it'll look goofy.

Well i have a small amount of poke in the front. With my tire right now, it looks like small amount of camber would get the tire in the fender. And my rears already tuck even when i had a 285/35/20. If i roll the rears i think i could possibly run a 295

In my opinion, if you want more rubber your gonna have to down size to 18" or 19's. A 40 series tire on a 20" wheel would look ridiculous on our cars plus the over all diameter would be way over specs.

Yeah it would be pretty overspec. ill just lower the car and see how i like it, then I'll decide from there if i want to downsize or not

I agree 2. Because I have 265/35/20 on rear and is very, very close to the panel. So, 40 tires on wheels 20'. No bueno.
