Default Coolant leaking from reservoir

Hey guys! I got a 99 gs300 with 157k. I just did a major tune up to it around May. Spark plugs, spark plug wires, timing belt, water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, idler and tensioner bearings, valve cover gaskets. I used oem coolant when the radiator was flushed. so I let my brother drive the car to work and back home and he said he smelled something funny so when we opened up the hood the coolant bursted out from the radiator reservoir but my brother claimed that it never overheated. No lights came on or anything. The temp needle never went to red nor has it ever went past more than half. Was wondering why it leaked out of the reservoir. This morning I turned my car on to warm it up to see if the coolant was leaking and everything seemed to be okay but I noticed that my radiator fans wasn't turning on. Any ideas of why my car is acting like this??? Thanks for the help guys!

Firts, you answer you own question. Radiator fan is not turn ON. Check why not turn ON. Maybe you forget to plug in one of the radiator fan?? Cut it or just one of the wire for the fan is bad.
Second, Do you change the Radiator Cap? Also, the reservoir cap gave a gasket. Change that cap.
Third, Do you flush your cooland system correctly?? Maybe have air on the system and that's what happened. The bubbles on the system try to get out from the system and a the same time pull out the cooland.

Check all this possibilities. Good luck and keep us with up date.

So turns out it has a very very tiny hairline crack on top of the radiator next to the radiator cap. Could that be the possibility? Going to order a denso radiator from Amazon. So I started the car on my is300 also. Same thing fan doesn't turn on either. Maybe that's Just how it is? Since the first gen is has the same 2jz engine. And I tried to see if there was any bubbles in the cooling system by turning on the car with the radiator cap off with the heater on full blast there seems to be no bubbles coming out so maybe it's just the hairline crack on the radiator? It's tiny *** **** I didn't even notice it until I seen some coolant coming out of it and then I noticed the crack. Going to see what happens after I replace the radiator!
