Default 2GS shifting early at WOT

Greetings, new gs owner here. So I know this is not a fast car by any means and I don't need a diet or anything but the car is very sluggish. As in it shifts way early at WOT. Slow speeds at WOT it shifts at 4k and at higher speeds (40mph+) it shifts at 5k rpms. About 2 weeks ago for about 15 minutes it would go to redline at WOT, but that only happened that one time. Forever before and since then it refuses to get near redline at WOT. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Try manually shifting it to make sure its nothing mechanical. Is your CEL own.

Make sure you don't have ect snow mode on. That would make it shift super early. Try again with ect power on!

Mines still shifts a little bit early in ect power mode but if you gate shift it yourself u can get to redline no problem.

Just seems not normal for the transmission to shift that early at wot. If so is it only the gs that's like this? Every other auto I've been in will down shift and go to redline through the gears at wot

I know my 400 screams all the way to redline at WOT without using e-shift.

surprised nobody mentioned this yet... If you want to change the shift patterns, reset the ECU (unplug battery for a few hours). Drive it hard once you plug it back in and it will get used to shifting later.

Check your transmission mount and driveline (carrier bearing).
