Pardon my ignorance, but other than "wow factor" what's the point I see this thing is heavier and makes less power than the 98-05 GS400/430.

EDIT: Sorry, just read your post above regarding power potential.

Here are some picture of the engine during tear down and inspection. The engine, like previously stated, only has 10 thousand or so miles on it.

Where it is heavier than the 1 and 3UZ engines, it is actually lighter than a 2JZ - trust me.. Wow factor is a big part of this build, kinda tired of seeing the same cars being built. But the engine has power potential, its just fun to build and test new things. I'm not out to win street races or set lap times. Just wanted something new!

That engine is sick and I have been searching for it and reading information about that engine. Many people do not know what Toyota actually does. All my life I've had toyota and will be until death. I do not change the power of Toyota at all. Good luck bro.

those intake runners just after the throttle bodies look like they are real restrictive for wide open performance but great for low end land yacht moving. any intake and exhaust mods in the works? if it doesn't work out you can always put the stock stuff back on. that's how I do it. lol. how but some custom one foot tall throttle bodies with velocity stacks. use a maf to map sensor converter to make it work.
