Default 01 GS430 DRL High Beams not working

Hi. I was going to work yesterday morning and hit the high beams and nothing...Got to work and saw the DRLs were out too. Checked fuses this morning, all are OK. The fuses with the clear tops are all ok too. The high beam indicator on the dash comes on when you push the stalk forward. The HID low beams are working fine. Fog lights are fine as well as all other bulbs. The day before yesterday we got about three inches of rain. Not sure if that had something to do with it? Is there a relay for high beams and DRL's? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

Have you checked the actual bulbs? The DRL's are the same bulb as the high beam, its possible that both driver and passenger side bulbs have gone bad... I had a fog light bulb go out and on my way to get a new one (about 30 mins later) the other went out. Doesnt hurt to check.

I thought about that...Looking a the bulbs through the front they don't look dark or burnt out. That might not be a good indicator though. Thanks for the advice. I'll try that too.

Mr Jokster is correct. Weird how both went out though I assume. Hopefully you didn't use aftermarket bulbs that use more wattage and burned your wire harness.

Nope, I used NAPA whitelight 9005. They're the same wattage. 65w...I've got some regular wagner 9005's I'm going to put in after work. We'll see if that does it. I was thinking about the switch going bad though?

I'm not a 100% sure, but I'm pretty certain that the indicator light wont turn on unless power is actually being sent to the bulbs. This is why I believe it to be a bulb issue. have you swapped them out yet?
