Need a GS expert near Schaumburg, IL
Hey guys, brand new to clublexus and brand new to the Lexus scene. That being said I have done my homework on these, so I know most of the basics. I am looking at buying a 2001 GS430 on Saturday and I was wondering if someone from the area might meet me at the sellers house and look it over with me. I would be happy to buy you lunch and give you some cash for helping me out.

That car has been for sale for a while, seems really clean though! I wish I could help you out but Ill be busy all weekend... But check out a facebook page called "773 Club Lexus", there is a few guys there that might be able to help you out!

Weird, I wonder why no one has bought it. It does seem clean. Clean carfax and a 92k mile timing belt(verified through Lexus). Thanks for the tip, I'm joining it right now!

Good Luck with the purchase! Where in Iowa are you located? I drove all the way to Schaumburg over the summer to take a look at a Gs400 that was for sale. Ended up being a bust, but if it were closer to des moines I porbably would have for sure bought it and done a complete overhaul in my garage.

I'm out of Cedar Rapids. I've got a good friend who has a GS430 and he's really sold me on the GS line. He says it's one of the best, quality cars ever made. I am getting anxious, still 2 days away! I will update the thread with much better pictures if I end up buying it.

Ha ha ha! This could be the reason... There are literally none in Iowa though... I ended up having to drive to Illinois twice to look at a couple and then ended up buying on about 30 miles south of Moline. I would have thought a bigger city would have had more, but neither Omaha or Kansas City really had any...
