Here goes the story
My daily beater honda was stolen a week after mikes funeral. I drove the honda up to New York city (a 3 hour drive) and paid my respects with some of you guys. Fast forward 2 weeks my honda was stolen. Its been 2 weeks and I got a call two days ago from the police. They found the car gutted just wheels and headlights and the roller .
Here is where the story gets crazy. Ive been struggling for the past month looking for a car thats decent. I drove 2 hours to look at one and was left in the parking lot after I found out all the problems with the car. I found a local gs300 for sale, a bit pricey but whatever. The same day I go look at my honda to get anything out of the car I could.They left my oakley glasses and mikeys funeral card!!! I was very happy about that. Fast forward an hour. I go meet this guy with the gs300 for sale. I pull up with a buddy of mine to the driveway. I than notice ms performance stickers all over his other cars. My mouth dropped and I just couldn't believe it. I pulled mikes funeral card out of my pocket and went up to the door. Turns out the guy selling me the car is mikeys wife sisters husband!!! Sometimes life just doesnt make any sense!!! The car turned out to be very well kept and im looking to pick the car up here soon. He said he would even throw in a ms sticker on the car for me. We both just looked at each other in disbelief!! I think mike helped me out on this one. I remember mike telling me he had family in delaware just didnt know where. They live 5 minutes from me! This past month has been really rough for me.. Alot can change in a day .Funniest thing the seller said was " you were the one who put the red supra diecast car in his casket" =(
Im looking to tint it here soon and the normal mods. Going to keep it mild since its driven to work every day. Car is really clean in and out. The only question i had for you guys is the key fob remote doesn't lock the car it only unlocks. Anyone have any idea what could cause this? I noticed it also doesnt unlock the rear passenger side door when i do unlock it but every other door will unlock? The lock key boutton looks sort of sank in. I tried pushing the very top and got it to lock once than the alarm started going off...
anyone have any info for me im finding little things wrong with the car?. The auto headlights dont work at night they stay on. I was reading it could be the courtesy light switch? I turned them on this morning and the went off. How hard is it to change that sensor on the dash? Also whats everyone's current mpg. I use 93 and i filled up 16.5 gallons and have around 115-120 miles and im right above half tank or more.. Also the lock button doesnt work on my remote only unlock. any ideas?

My mother stopped driving so I took her car. I needed a Lexus like another rock in my head since I have a landscaping Co. and trucks and SUV's but the Lexus is sure nice to drive.

Sounds like the rear door lock actuator is broken/dying. My 02 GS300 had the same problem, different door. Fixed the actuator using the guide on here and fixed the unlock/locking. When the car wouldn't lock properly, the lights didn't know to turn off (well I think mine would still turn off, it just took a very long time).
updating this thread since ive been doing alot lately to her. Did lower bjs and tie rods from moog along with hks ls+ coils. Need your opinions on if i need the figs rear toe links ? Alot of people have just said get them but the paper shows green for toe in the rear.I get free alignments pretty much and after i put the coils on the tech said he cant really adjust much now lol. The car doesnt pull crazy . The wheel is off a slight bit . Im not rubbing or hitting anything even over speed bumps...
