Default Electrical issues

I have a 98 GS400 and I have encountered some electrical issues. The battery does not hold a charge. I took the battery to a local auto parts place and was told it had a bad cell. Purchased a new battery and still same issue. I jumped started car and removed pos cable from battery and car remains running but a few minutes after shutting off is just dead. Not sure is the alternator. With that I also have following issues:

1) Fan blower motor does not run tested it and works)
2) Memory on A/C unit resets temp to 75 degrees after car is off
3) Clock does not work
4) Tilt steering wheel does not work
5) Dome light does not work
6) Vanity lights do not work
7) Power passenger seat does not work

Ay ideas?

The alternator was the first thing I thought, but you can check all fuses first. That's easy to check and cheaper to repair. Also, the guy in the local auto part don't check your alternator?

For all your electric issue, that is what I say, check your fuses first. Good luck and let me know the update later please.

Also, I see that you are in Fl. in with part of Fl?

Also, this just jump in my mind right now. Check the 40amp fuse close to the baterry. That fuse given a lot power to the electric system of the car. Also, please do take the cable of the baterry out again the way that are you did it. You can damage you ecu, your fuses system and your electric system of your car.

Thank you for your reply Mcon... Hmmm I have not gone to auto parts to check alternator. Ill see if I can do that today. So, if the alternator is bad will that affect all those other electrical areas? I did check the fuses and they are all good. I am actually in Orlando and you?

I gotta agree with Mcon. It does sound like an alternator issue for the loosing power, but there could also be an draw present with the car off.

You're blower motor not working could be a faulty Blower Motor Controller but I'd see if it is getting power before throwing parts at it.

The A/C resetting to 75 is usually because of the low battery voltage causing memory loss to the A/C control.

As for the other systems all not working, start with the fuses like Mcon said and keep to the basics until you need to move to more in depth diagnosis.
