Ive been out of the Lex game for awhile.. Whats 2000 GS400 with 36k worth!?
I feel like it's safe to post the dealerships website with the vehicle on it...
I currently have an 07 SRT8 Charger...I need to downsize and get something a little cheaper. Ive had two GS4's before... but none with such low mileage and long maintaince history per Carfax. If you go on the site, they have a Carfax button to view the whole Carfax for free.
What in the world in a GS4 with only 36k miles even worth?
Here it is: http://www.spanosmotors.com/2000-Lex...-32114/5572484
Thanks!

WOW! Seems to have yellow high beams like the fogs. Lowered and I love the rims. Persons here might recommend changing the timing belt because it is so old. So you will have to factor that into the cost.
I am not even sure myself how much is a good price for such a well kept GS. I would say 10k max?

You think so? Man, it'd be hard to pay that much for a 15 year old car (16 technically I guess now). But ooohh bbooyy i want it. My SRT8 Charger is worth about 16k...
This is my car currently: (http://daytona.craigslist.org/cto/5157357756.html)
I had a 92 LS400, a 98 GS400, a 2000 GS400. I wanna get back to the Lex's!

Once you factor in sale tax, you are spending over $14k for a car over 15 years old. You will be a fool to pay that amount. The bushings are all shot due to age (cost adder), timing belt need to be replaced due to age (~$1k cost adder), ball joints need to be replaced asap, especially since this is a 2000 model and its lowered (cost adder), the tranny and ac servo WILL go bad on 98-00 (cost adder). So all said and done, you're going to spend well over $16k for a car that has an atari gps system. Knock your self out

Not to hijack your thread bud, but I'm in the same boat looking at a 99GS400 with 47k on it. Dealer is asking $8,600. I know I need to due timing belt pretty much right away....just not sure what to do.

That is a good deal for those miles but personally I would rather pay a couple thousand less for a car with higher miles where they already changed all the stuff that IS going to go bad. At low miles all this stuff was most likely never changed as they usually fail at 100k+ miles. I would find a well maintained higher mileage GS, low miles your just paying more in the long run for nothing. Trust me I bought a low miles GS430 and regret it to this day seeing how much I spent making it new compared to others.

In my humble opinion, I no pay that much for that car. Just look the steering wheel and **** shifter. Both are warn and that to me tell me that this car has more mileage that what say. Also, with all this add (Calipers) that the car have ??? I go and look the car in person and with a good mechanic and if your mechanic know these car, that is plus.

Its worth what you are willing to pay for it........as are all vehicles.
every time I see one of these threads people **** all over paying that much for a 13yr old car. Look at the used car market and tell me what better options are out there for a nice car in that price range. Sure they have some age on them, but its a reliable luxury car at a decent price point.
