Hi to all lexus members...

I need help..i have a 2000 GS 300 white and i found this 2001 RX300 wood grain steering wheel and i wanted to know if this will fit my lex and if i can use same airbag?

I cld stealership spoke to service rep and parts rep but one guy didn't t know and the other guy said yea but he didnt sound sure of what he was saying.

Before i buy it i would like some true honest info and also to know if RX30p steering. Wheel is bigger than GS300?

You'll need a 2001+ airbag. If you can't find one that is single stage, you can swap the detonator from your 2000 airbag.

Sometimes you can swap pre 01 dentonator, not always Thomas. The detonators on the 01+ are square shaped. The pre 01 dentonators came in square shape and 6 sided. When i swapped my wood wheel in my 99, the detonator on the 01+ airbag was dual stage. My original detonator was 6 sided so i couldn't mount it to the new airbag. I ended up buying an rav 4 airbag for cheap and using the detonator off of that since the rav 4 and is300 bags have the square single stage detonators.
