Default 20 inch MRR-HR3 (20x8.5)

Will 20x8.5 MRR-HR3 rims with Achilles ATR tired fit nicely on my 2001 GS300? If not what will I need to do? I want the car to sit slightly above the rims, not too low and not quite stock. Can anyone help me figure this out?

It's all about the offset of the wheels and tire size. Not to sound like a douche but to save you the headache most people are going to tell you to use the search function. There are lots of pics here of those wheels on a GS

I have no idea what search function is, but from what I've seen offsets for it are in between 35mm and 45mm and i would preferably just have whatever works best with the stock body

The offset on the 5x114.3 - 20x8.5's is 35 mm, so they will fit fine.

If you want the top of the fender to sit at the top of the TIRE, you will need to at least stretch tires, but you might have to roll or shave your rear fenders to keep them from rubbing. This can be accomplished with lowering springs, and I have a set that I just pulled off my car that I am selling. I'm in Vancouver, WA.

If you want the top of the fender to sit at the top of the WHEEL, you will need stretch tires and do some fender work to at least the rear, but most likely the front, too. You will need coilovers to get that low.

Take a look at this thread, it will answer 90% of questions you have about these cars:

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...iy-thread.html

The search function is in the center of the blue bar near the top of the page. It will answer 99% of questions you have about these cars, there is a huge wealth of information on this site.

Finally, welcome to ClubLexus!

Thanks brotha and i actually live in olympia kind of funny. But I didn't want it quite on top of the tires maybe an inch above, I was hoping to avoid any fender work for the sake of messing it up, and i don't quite have the money to pay for all that but I definitely will keep that in mind I'm glad I got such a detailed response

The tires are Achilles ATR 245/30ZR20 L I found the set with tires on carID.Com and i was also wondering if I should have the back an inch wider at 9m5 or the same as the front at 8.5 I'm really just going for a luxury look.

No problem in suggesting the search function. But we do want to make sure that we also include some suggested keywords to look for and also give some links to related threads.

No problem, man.

Go check out my build thread, there's a ton of pictures of my old suspension/wheel setup that is probably really close to what you're looking for.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...ld-thread.html

The fronts are 20x8.5, +35 offset with a 245/35R20, so they'll sit almost exactly like your wheels will. Yours will just have a little less sidewall.

Rears are 20x10, +38 offset with a 285/30R20.

Should I go with 9.5s for the back then? Seems a lot of people do go wider for the back. I also got HKS Hi-Power mufflers they're kinda big and i don't want them hittin any speed bumps or anything

This is my soon to be beauty, got rear ended, so the bumpers got some booboos, had to push it out of a spot that it got stuck and has a small dent next to the left trunk light. But never the less my girl<br/>

I think the 9.5's would sit a bit more flush with the fenders, but I'm not 100% sure. I've always run staggered on RWD cars, but it's mostly just for the look. Do the 9.5's have more concave than the 8.5's, or does the face look exactly the same?

Running a square setup will allow you to rotate tires, so they'll last a bit longer.
