So I'll be taking the car in to finally get painted. I'm doing a full color change, going with Anthracite metallic from the MKIV Supra. I have matte black wheels and my calipers are bronze/gold. Where I need opinions are in the trim details. The grill is going matte black along with the tte lip and the rear Lexus emblem. Now the shop said they could matte the gloss black piece behind the passenger windows which is fine but they said they could black out the chrome trim around the windows and also delete the trim that goes around the car. Not too sure about that. Being that the headlights are chrome inside it'll look off I think. I'm thinking maybe just leaving the trim around the windows chrome but not sure about the trim around the car.....what do you guys think??? Here's s pic to reference. Thanks in advance!

I would keep the trim around the car, too me it would look funny without it.

Maybe someone with decent Photoshop skills can help you out.

Why not have them shoot the entire window frame and trim? Just an idea to play with...

Great color choice

I think I would probably leave the side trim and maybe color match or black out the window trim. Even if you leave the window trim alone it will look good

Thanks guys for the input, I think I'm going to leave the chrome trim around the doors just matte out the gloss parts on the doors, and I agree, leave the trim around the car.

I definitely wouldn't have them shave the trim, but I would have it done in matte black to match your wheels and grill.

Also, just a thought, I think painting the TTE lip matte black is going to make it look like you just stuck an unpainted one on there. Have you ever seen a TTE lip that was molded to the bumper? It looks really good. If you don't mold it, I would at least have it sprayed body color.

I like the look of the painted lip but for me it's more on the vip side, I'm going for a street look, matting the lip will go well with my wheels and the other smaller matte black details

Ever consider going matte on all of the lowers all the way around the car? Like from chrome trim down? At least it'd look more uniform than just the lip stuck on there. Some two tone!

Well technically it'll be painted in matte black but I know what you mean.
