Default Wind Noise

(2002 GS 300 with 200k miles)

I searched and searched for wind noise on the passenger side that started about 35mph and got worse with speed. I taped up the door seams numerous times without luck. I replaced inner door seals without luck. I will share this information with you to save you heartache and trouble. I later noticed a couple of rubber plugs missing UNDERNEATH the car. Mystery solved!

The approximately 1" holes toward the front can be plugged with McMaster-Carr item 9600k518. The 3/4" holes toward the back can be plugged with McMaster-Carr item 9600k516. If you need a couple, I will part with my remaining stock. While supplies last.

??Bad Grammar??
But if you find plugs are missing just use masking/electrical/duct tape as a quick check and temporary fix.

When I write from my cell phone and my cell phone put what he wants after I sent it and you call it BAD GRAMMAR ?? What can I say about it, for you to understand me better and not have to criticize ?? About the rubber plugs, actually that is not my case. I check today my baby and my car have all the rubber plugs. I hope and this time you can undestand me better.
Thanks, and God Bless you.

Another trick we use on the LS 430 is to condition your rubber seals with Shin Etsu grease. It works really well and protects against dry rot. I use a rubber glove and massage it into all rubber including the trunk, sunroof, and hood seals.
