Check out www.nada.com That is what banks use to value cars for loans. Aftermarket parts have NO value to them so they price the cars accordingly. If you feel like it has value, then you will be willing to pay for it. Keep in mind that most insurance companies don't insure most aftermarket mods. Therefore, get in the car for the least amount of money.

I always see this one on the Chicago craigslist and it does not sell so they might be asking too much for it. It almost sounds like what you have described.
