Can the effect of a throttle controller be achieved via tuning the stock ECU? Mainly the feature of making the throttle open in a more linear way (like a cable operated throttle) instead of the progressive way it opens from the factory.
Also some people have mentioned that it makes the car downshift around 1/2 throttle instead of nearly full throttle. I know this parameter can be changed on some other cars via ECU tuning, but not all. Can it be done on a second gen GS430? I had a Grand Prix GTP that could, but then a Miata where the factory ECU couldn't be tuned at all. The GTP could also have the shift points changed, redline changed, shift firmness adjusted from a tune. Any chance that can be done with the GS?

Am I missing something or why is that so cheap?
Edit: I missed this little thing at the bottom:
"Requires SMART Accel Controller main unit- (P/N: 410-A001) for installation and use. (+$199.00)"

Sorry I have been very busy.
the controller is great. a lot of settings that you can switch on the fly. econo mode is crazy. no power.
THE PICS ARE SIDEWAYS FOR SOME REASON.
first pic is under the dash above the pedal. Just disconnect the plug and plug in the harness.
Second pic is where you need to tap into the reverse wire positive. under the driver kick panel there is a harness of 3 connectors. the bottom connector is the one you want. the top right wire. red with black stripe is the pos+ for the reverse light.
the white wire is from the controller. I soldered it and taped it up.
the third pic is the switch and i bent a piece of metal and taped it to the back of the witch. then under the ignition switch in the crease of the panels i slid the switch in the gap. the gap holds it in.

I am gonna necro this for a question.
How crazy is it to NOT disable this for reverse?
I feel the response is much worse in reverse. I do not even move in reverse while idling.
Meanwhile, my Camry feels like a go kart in reverse.
