Rev Limiter?
Recently I tested my 2GS 430 in Low gear, VSC off and in sport mode and held it wide open. I did not hear the engine speed bounce at any point before I manually up shifted.
It DOES have a limiter, does it not? And if so what rev speed?
And please, no "I think" replies

My 300 redlines when I WOT or suddenly slam on the gas while cruising, and bounces off redline in park or neutral. No limiter on these. I'm guessing that's not the answer you were looking for though.

What? Isn't the limiter suppose to prevent the revs from getting near or even hit redline? I've driven the 2015 Genesis sedans and they had a limiter keeping it at 5k rpms (not bouncing) with the pedal to the floor. I don't know, must be different types then.

Newer cars are like super blow up proof. Hit the pedal in a newer impala ss, you will hate it! Also, if there weren't a limiter, you would be able to pass the red line and blow the engine. I'm pretty sure you would have to tune the limiter how you want. But just not on these cars unless you're running a stand alone harness with an aftermarket ecu....
