I will do one very soon, I'm in the middle of a rebuild but I work full time, so I only get an hour or two to do anything. I hope to have a thread going by this weekend or early next week.

I watched Jeff's video on this and he mentions you do not have to remove valve covers to do Cam seals. How do you remove VVti pulley gear without taking valve covers off? There is a nut on the cam shaft you hold when removing the VvtI gear bolt.

It's also a good idea to replace the crank seal.

To remove my cams, I removed the valve covers and used the crescent wrench to hold the shaft while I loosed the cam nut. The VVTi pulley/cam has a few extra nuts at the end, but pretty much the same procedure. I hope this information helps.

This is for a gs300 engine. i think he needs for a gs400 v8 engine. In order for you to remove cam seals on a gs400, you would need to remove the cams.
