Just a heads up,
Autozone and O'reilly's is having a 5 qt Castrol Synthetic/Syntec and Bosch oil filter for around $35 sale. I went for the German Castrol OW30 full synthetic which the deal applied to also, saved about $20 bucks compared to the regular price for the German Castrol when factoring in buying another qt to be on the safe side.
The oil they had at O'reilly's was Castrol OW30 but it was in a different bottle and it said made in USA so I skipped it and went to Autozone for the made in Germany Castrol. I never knew they had a OW30 Castrol made in the US, I thought it was only made in Germany or Belgium at that weight and was not sure if that was the full Group 4 Synthetic like the one made in Germany.
Anyway I am happy with the deal, I will add it in a few weeks, I may try Amsoil next time but I could not pass up the deal paying half of what I would with the Amsoil/filter for a fully synthetic.

...I have 236k miles on my 98 GS4 and I have been running Amsoil 0W20 for the last 2+ years now. Oil analysis shows very good at 25k. I pushed one oil change to 29k and it was at the upper limit of life, just starting to oxidize. So keeping at 25k is safe in how I drive...
What filtration system are you running?
