Checked fuses eveything looks good. When i press the open or tilt buttons the sunroof just makes like a quick winding noise and clicks and the same when i press it to close after trying to open it but dosnt even attempt to open. Bad motor? Bad relay? Bad switch? Has anyone else has this problem? And would a motor or relay replacement be hard to install? The help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

While anything is possible, most likely you might have some caked up junk in your track. Mine looked like someone had packed Play Doe in the track; quite nasty looking; or it could be that one of the "screws" have broken (less likely).

Take the motor out and see. It sits behind the overhead console lights. A flat and a phillips should be all you need to pry the plastic cover off and get to the screws that hold the sunroof motor in.

If you're lucky you can just clean any gunk from the motor so you can open the sun roof and then clean/washout the tracks from above.

Otherwise, you'll just need to replace the entire sunroof unit. It's more time consuming than difficult.

With one finger on the back of the sun roof, press up while pushing the button to open. If its been shut all winter, probably just needs a quick budge to loosen it. If its the motor, you could give it a quick tap like you would a starter and have it break loose as well. Motors that sit can seize up, but doesnt mean its catastrophic.
