if you want your car to look anything like a quality paint job, by all means a quality vinyl wrap will be the closest youll get to it. Ive plastied everything you can think of, love the stuff.... but by all means I need a new roof as well, I would wrap it ANY DAY before dipping it if I wanted it to not look ghetto... my opinion thats all...

Yeah I need to wrap my roof too it so oxidized it looks just primer haha I just wonder how it'll do becuase I think it receives the most damage from weather and the sun. Vipwraps, can the sun ever bleach vinyl?? And if I remember correctly the roof is 4.5ft X 5

GS-f did you take it off your car? Haha I take mine apart because I'm afraid of it lifting. UT is a dry dusty and hot climate spring-fall so I have to remove Chrome and do deep folds. BTW looks so dope!!!! I've wanted to do intense blue because it's the closest thing to negaro blue like the S4

The sun beating down on the vinyl will only strengthen the adhesion. It will NOT come up on the edges but to make sure i always do curl it down over edges and in between creases... wed or thur I'm putting high gloss black on my roof, will post pics... The sun CAN NOT bleach this vinyl, if anything years from now it will start coming off BEFORE it even bleaches... I doubt it bleaches at all. The vinyl i use can glide over a surface easy similar to 3M and sticks with heat... Is the 4.5x5 considering excess vinyl? or exactly 4.5x5...

Length of the car is 5ft and 1inch side to side is less than 4ft like 36 or 37in but the mid section is shorter Cuz our roofs are like ) (

I'm gonna do black too once I get some new vinyl I had a carbon fiber and it was very tedious to clean my hood and roof

are you suggesting gloss black over the black carbon fiber?

Got the hood done today. Had two friends come over and help me. None of us have ever done this so there's a big learning curve. Learned a lot of things NOT to do. But I think we got the hang of it near the end of the night. Hope to have the whole car done by Friday.

Start in the middle and work your way out. Stretch and squeegee at the same time, this is where the extra hands would be helpful. Wet your vinyl on the outside to have the squeegee slide. I bought a really nice suede squeegee that glides awesome, way better than felt edge squeegees. Also, I bought some really nice vinyl blades but you could use knifeless tape too. Water and heat do not mix!

Again, I'm also new at this, but it's been fun learning so far. I posted a picture on instagram and I already have friends wanting me to do their cars.

Watch yiannimize on youtube. It's not tutorials but it's really fun to watch professionals at work.
