Well I haven't got the time to sand/polish my headlights yet so I don't know.
I'd think that it lasts longer than normal clear coat.

Did mine a few weeks ago (sand, uv clear) and they looks dang good considering I only spent about $15 bucks in materials. No yellowing, though it might be a bit too early to give a fair assessment.
But It'd be hard to convince me that a new headlight looks that much better than a properly restored one, especially given then cost delta.

I think those headlight "restoration kits" are a rip off. Roll up the sleeves and do it the manly way (lol)

Good luck

Here's what I managed to get from just polishing and UV clear coating.

Drivers side done.

Now I'll just wait and see how effective the UV clear coat is.

Unfortunately most clearcoats you get at auto stores or pep boys don't offer very good UV protection or chemical protection. A 2K clearcoat offers the best UV/chemical protection.

Wet sanding and polishing headlights can make them look close to brand new but it won't last very long before they get a dull haze. Waxing and sealing prolongs it a little but not much. I even tried Opti Lens but it does not seem to last much longer then a good sealant, the only thing I have noticed is it is easier to maintain with a coating of opti lens compared to just a sealant. After applying opti lens I generally just have to polish the headlights to get them looking almost brand new again, without opti lens I eventually had to re wet sand the headlights to get them to look almost new, polishing would not cut it, but I have not had the opti lens on for as long so I will see.

If anything, a clear headlight film should be used over the lenses to combat the hazing... something is better than nothing.
Yes! The sylvania kit comes with a UV clear coat that dries on and turns hard almost immediately, I did it over a year ago and my headlights still look factory new, seriously impressed by the product. If you use it just make sure you only put one layer of the clear coat though, if you do a second it makes the headlight look less clear and you'll have to do it over, but it not took me about 30 mins to do both of mine.

Yes, they are pretty good, I have used them twice and that is what I would use, you need to wear a respirator when using them. I think Eastwood or Spraymax y even makes a 2K clear coat aerosol product specifically for headlights. The only thing I am not sure about is bonding, it needs a roughed surface or fresh paint to bond to. Of course you are not going to paint the headlights so they need to be ruffed/scuffed which I would think with a clear surface like a headlight that light shines through you would end up seeing those scratches through the clearcoat.
