Default HELP!!!! (2002 gs300) - sub install, car won't start

I installed my sub yesterday it was fine until I turn the car off and the battery died do to the keys being in the ignition but the car wasn't running. Now the starter and the ignition fuses don't get power. I charged the battery and it's back to its earlier straight but nothing. Yes the amp was wired to the starter fuse. Any ideas on what happened or how to fix it. it's a 02 gs300

back track your install is the 1st step I'd look into.

the next would be to uninstall and connect everything as it was, see if the problem still exists, then go from there.

Why is the amp hooked to the starter fuse? remove it and see what happens.

Wire the amp directly to the battery quite a few grommets available to use, that's more than likely why it isn't starting

Like everyone else said, remove it and recheck. I'm not quite sure what you mean by your amp is wired up to your starter....but I'd be willing to bet that's causing alot of your problems. If you were looking for a "remote" wire to power the amp on, there are plenty of switched power sources in the trunk.

That's how mine is hooked up, and I've had no problems since.

Like these guys have said, the amp should be connected directly to the battery with an appropriate sized fuse on the wire within a foot of the battery. The starter fuse is rated for the power to run the starter, not your amp. The fuse is probably blown, check and odds are replace the fuse, go chew out whoever told you to wire it like that and do some research on proper install techniques. I've never heard that one before!

I hope a shop didn't do that. That's a rookie mistake.

Wow Remote wire hooked to starter fuse?.... I thought my cigarette lighter was a bad spot... If that remote wire touches the positive wire on the other end... If you had the ***** to use that spot u prolly didn't fuse the remote wire either. Best of luck to you. I would start by removing the remote from that location.
