Black Chrome Trunk Bar
Hey fellow CL members, if anyone ever needs any JDM parts or in this circumstance, a Black Chrome Trunk bar for the 2GS. SUPRATRD aka Steve Ganz has the hookup for the parts and the quality is amazing + superb and the price is awesome as well. Hopefully this can help some members get the part without having any hassle or fears.
I recently bought a Black Chrome Trunk Bar for my GS from him and I could not be more impressed with the quality let alone the price I paid. It essentially is an OEM Toyota Part, not one of those 3M stick on overlays that you sometimes see on Ebay. When the package had arrived it was packed all neat and tidy in two boxes along with a protective sheet of wrapping paper for the bar. Even better, shipping was pretty fast as well! The package came in after only 6 days with 3 of the days being held by customs.
From start to finish, it took about 3 weeks for the item to arrive. From ordering it to the creation of the part, real black chrome plating, shipping across the world, customs, and postal delivery.
Overall I am very happy with the part, and would highly recommend Steve Ganz [SUPRATRD] if your looking for any JDM part in general.
You can also email him at gonzo4u@earthlink.net as well or PM him on here.
Thanks again Steve for the Great work, Communication, and Product!
Now for pictures:
How the package arrived.

Note: The little spot on the top bar is not damage but my ceiling lighting for the room.

Fitment of 2GS Black Chrome Trunk Bar
Hey guys, finally had time over the holidays to remove the old trunk bar.
Boy was that right side rusted bolt hard to pull. After a few minutes of removing the trunk bar. I finally
had the old one off.
The first photo here is a comparison between the OEM Black trunk bar and the Chrome one.
The black chrome is on the left while the OEM is on the right.
[I had to break off the right bolt to remove it due to 15 years of rust.]
USE ANTISEIZE PASTE ON THE BOLTS when you install TO ENSURE THEY DON'T RUST SHUT
This photo is a frontal pic of the two bars to show comparison.
This pic here shows the keyhole which is a nice snug fit.
This pic here is a side view of the chrome bar after installed on the GS.
As you can see it is a pretty close tight fit. Not loose.
[PIC NOT RELATED TO TRUNK BAR BUT MAY HELP WITH REMOVING TRUNK CLIPS TO GET TO BAR]
If anyone needs an easier time to remove the trunk retainer clips, try using a long zip tie, insert the zip tie in the retainer clip to about half way, grip the zip tie and just jerk it back and forth while pulling. No Pun intended. Lmao

Pics from Rear Far Vantage
I also will attach some pictures of it on Black Onyx(202) Lexus GS3 with Black Pearl Rear Emblems. Note that there is direct sunlight at the moment but, I will also take more pics as it gets darker. These are the afternoon pics in direct sunlight.
Future prognosis:
Most likely I will be doing a debadge and keeping the center L in black pearl.

Honestly when I first bought the car I thought so to. I'm not sure if it's the angle I took it at or the car itself. I plan on doing a debadge though and leaving just the black pearl L I'm going to go look in my garage now and see if it is crooked. I'll bring a ruler

These are the original black pearl emblems from the factory and it doesnt look like it's been tampered with so I assume maybe it was assembled that way
