VSC / ABS issue
I recently scored a 99 GS400 for a great price because the previous owner didn't take care of her like he should have and consequently there were/are some issues.
I bought it with VSC/VSC off/ABS lights on and no working speedo.
I reconnected the LF speed sensor that had been cut and now the speedometer works.
My issue is that the VSC lights are always on the ABS light is off when the car is started and comes on after driving for about 3 minutes and then stays on till I turn the car off.
Because the ABS light isn't on when I start the car, I can't get the car to blink out any ABS codes.
Any ideas on where to start chasing this down would be much appreciated.

As I understand it, unless you have the Lexus specific scanner, it will only read CEL codes. Not ABS codes. And I have no CEL. Just the VSC ABS nonsense.

I had the same problem. I got it scanned. You do not need to go to lexus to get it scanned. Go to your mechanic and ask for the abs sensor to be read they should have the snap on or a scanner that can read abs! Ive had it done a few times never at a lexus dealer or scanner lol. You just need to find a mechanic with a abs code reader!

It might be one of your wheel speed sensors that's faulty. With a multi-meter you can check each wheel speed's AC signal by rotating one wheel at a time to see if it puts out a voltage.
