Help with wheel fitment on 2gs
I need help with wheel fitment. I have done exhaustive reading, but I am still unsure on what to go with.
Currently I have:
Suspension:
SPC Upper Control Arms
Bilstein shocks
Tein S-Tech springs
Front:
Figs Engineering front RCAs (leaving 2 finger gap between tire and fender)
19x8.5 +15 Axis Shine
LS400 caliper upgrade
235/35 Proxy4
Fenders are not rolled
Rear:
Exact Motorsports rear RCAs (leaving 2 finger gap between tire and fender)
19x9.5 +20 (+5mm spacer)
265/30 Proxy4
Fenders are rolled
I have flush fitment, but my front wheels are bent due to city potholes the size of Lord of the Ring Halflings! I daily my car and I was looking to go to 18s so I could get a bit more meat on my wheels for protection. I have been looking at Varrstoen in 18x9.5 +15 (due to the LS400 calipers up front) all around and wanting to get a square set up for rotations. I LOVE VIP and also would not mind a poke! If a square set up is not possible due to offest, I would not be opposed to 18x10.5 in the rear with a +30 offset, or whatever is needed to make it fit. I know x9.5 is possible up front, I was just wondering if I would need to roll the fenders with the smaller wheels. I am trying to avoid any further modification as I am in the St. Louis area and I can't find anyone that is willing to roll my front fenders or fix my bent front wheels. If any of you know where I can go in St. Louis to get help, PLEASE let me know!!!
From reading, it seems 225/40 would be the standard tire for 18x9.5, but I am wondering if I will be able to fit that tire and or if I would be able to fit a thicker tire if possible. Looking for any feedback. I know this is a lot to ask, but I figure it's an older car and some of you have been around the block a few times to know off the top of your head. PLEASE HELP me!!
