i have a problem with my 99 gs 300 it has been driving fine and all of a sudden while I was driving the accelerator wouldn't accelerate anymore even with it to the floor and rpms dropped til it finally died it starts now but idles really rough til the engine starts shaking and the car eventually dies now if I push on the gas before it dies it will die automatically as soon as I put just a little pressure on the gas pedal please someone help me I know nothing about cars and don't have funds to take to mechanic for them to tell me that it is something simple if its not simple I have no choice but to take it to shop

look on the forums on how to pull engine codes from the car. that would tell you what module is failing

one of two things. take it to autozone and have them pull the codes.

one of two things. car is struggling and not getting enough fuel? maybe water in the fuel or could be air intake.
